Maximize power transmission efficiency with Poly V-Belt Drives.

Belt drives have played an integral part of every machining industry since the beginning of the industrial revolution. With the introduction of V-Belt drives, power transmission efficiency has been improved drastically. They have become a default standard in the industrial tool supply domain.
Furthering the technological evolution are Poly V-Belts. An invention in the belting landscape that is driving productivity, affordability and machine efficacy to the next level.

Poly V-Belt- The belt for all applications
Poly V-Belts are made from a single block of polymer, designed with multiple v shaped longitudinal ribs. The V shaped ribs are designed to run on a pulley with corresponding grooves, which the ribs fit neatly into. The belt transmits torque by contact of the belt rib flanks and the pulley grooves. A polyester cord runs through the belt, along with a rubber backing that protects the cord and the radial stability of the belt. This unique design combination allows the Poly V-Belt to counter-bend, enabling a single belt to drive several accessories from both sides of the belt.

Fenner- A trusted name in India
Fenner is a highly reputed manufacturer of all types mechanical power transmission products. Fenner belts, V-belts, Poly V-Belts, Pulleys, Couplings and Gear Boxes have become the industry bench-marks over the years, as they are designed and manufactured in state-of-art facilities. Every Fenner Belt adheres to the Indian quality standards; ISO-9001:2000 & ISO/TS-16949:2002 along with ISO 14001:1996

How Poly V-Belts work their magic?
Poly V Belts have a multitude benefits when it comes to boosting power transmission efficiency.
Here are 5 benefits that will give you some perspective on the potential of Poly V-Belts:

  1. Compactness- Due to its compact size, a Poly V-Belt can operate at a minimum pulley diameter of just 9mm, compared to a minimum pulley diameter of 50mm with a traditional V-belt.
  1. Reduced Noise- Thanks to the mono-block design, a Poly V-Belt produces negligible noise and vibrations during its operation. Also unlike regular V-Belts, there is no need to match belts, thereby reducing maintenance and eliminating belt differential ‘flapping’.
  1. Even Load Distribution- Poly V-Belts are flat cord-reinforced transmission Belts with length-wise running triangular-shaped ribs with a top angle of 40 degrees. This construction leads to better support for all cords in the reinforcement and therefore, an even load distribution is achieved.
  1. High-Output- As per iso-tension and iso-geometry technical tests, Poly V-Belts can achieve over 98 percent higher outputs than regular V-belts, thereby allowing drastic reductions in engine size.
  1. Improved Transmission Ratio- As Poly V-Belts require lesser areas; improved transmission is also possible. Poly V-Belts can achieve ratios of 1:60, as compared to 1:20 for regular V-Belts.
Poly V-Belts are conquering every industrial domain due to their unparalleled performance. Some of the industries relying on Poly V-Belts include; Aerospace, Mining, Automotive, Refrigeration and elevators.
MKIS is one of the leading fennerv belt distributors, catering to all Indian OEMs. Fenner Belts are directly procured from the manufacturer and delivered right to the customer by MKIS. Apart from Poly V-Belts, MKIS also provides provide Fenner Round belts, Wedge-V belt, NuTLink V-Belt, SuperTLink wedge belts and special beltings, all delivered as per specific customization requirements.
